Man Found Shot To Death On Eastern Pennsylvania Porch ID'd: Police

A man has been identified after being found shot dead outside a home in Chester County on Friday, Oct. 20, authorities announced on Saturday.

Lawrence Hurd, 41, was shot multiple times and left for dead on the porch of a home located at 139 Rosemont Avenue in Coatesville, the police said. 

The shooting happened approximately 20 minutes before midnight, the police explained. 

When Medics arrived at the scene, Hurd was pronounced dead. 

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to call the City of Coatesville Police Department at 610-384-2300 or the Chester County Detectives at 610-344-6866.
